Ingredients:
2 tbs. oil 1 tea. salt (or to taste) 1/4 tea. cumin seeds 1/4 tea. red pepper 1/4 turmeric 1 large potato 3 med. sweet green peppers (capsicum) 1 tea. tomato paste or 1 chopped tomato 1/4 tea. ground, toasted cumin seed Procedure:
Peel and chop the potato into 1" cubes, set aside.
Cut the green peppers about the same size.
Heat the oil hot enough that the cumin seeds pop when
you throw them in the oil with the other spices. (Do so.)
Stir the spices till mixed and coated with oil (be quick).
Throw in the peppers and potatoes.
Serves 6 to 8. Pair this dry subgee with a wet subgee (veg. in a gravy or broth). |
