Simple and quick

Bundh Gobi
Cabbage

Ingredients:

  1/2 head of a medium sized cabbage
  1/2 teaspoon whole cumin seeds
  tiny pinch of asafoetida (heeng)
  less than a 1/2 teaspoon red pepper
  
  
Procedure:


Roughly chop the cabbage into about 1/4" by 1" strips.
Fry spices lightly.
Add rinsed chopped cabbage and stir fry with the spices until soft.
You can add a bit of water and simmer gently until done also, but stir fry for a bit anyway.

Suggested use: Serves from 4 to 6. This can be an accompaniment to meat or a luncheon dish on its own served with fresh chapatis (or pita bread).
