This is a cross between a pudding and hot cereal. |

Rating: very easy |
Preparation time: 10 or 15 minutes |
Ingredients:
3 heaping spoons of whole wheat flour (use Ind. flour*)
Procedure: Melt the butter. Mix the butter and the flour until it is like a crumbly pie dough. In a dry pan, slowly toast this mix until it is golden brown. Add about 6 spoons of water until its kind of a loose sludge (like cream of wheat). Add the sugar. Add a bit more water until its a nice soft lump. (Now I'm not from the south US, but I'm told grits should aim for the consistency of grits.)
Serves two. This can be served as a dessert or used as a
breakfast cereal. Feel free to throw in raisons or chopped
nuts.
